摘要
Lattice warp-knitted spacer flexible inflatable composites (LWSFICs) are an emerging light-weight inflatable material. In this study, LWSFICs was designed to investigate the damage characterizations subject to low -velocity impact for the first time, and an energy absorption capability, up to similar to 90% was achieved. Besides, the threshold load of LWSFICs could be delayed by decreasing internal air pressure within an acceptable range, which can also reduce the damaged area. The energy absorption rate decreases with the increase of thickness. The findings of this study have laid down a sound basis for designing and developing LWSFICs materials with ultra-impact resistance behavior.
