Efficacy of Rifampicin plus Ursodeoxycholic Acid for Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy: A Meta-analysis

摘要
. This is a meta -analysis investigating the efficacy of rifampicin (RFP) plus ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) for the treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), so as to provide clinical evidence for subsequent clinical application and research. Literature related to RFP + UDCA therapy for ICP was searched from online databases, and relevant information and outcome measures were extracted after screening for meta -analysis using RevMan5.3 software. Four papers with 146 ICP patients in total were analyzed, including 73 patients treated with RFP + UDCA (research group, RG) and 73 patients treated with other schemes (control group, CG). All the articles included had high reference value, as their risk of publication were confirmed to be low. According to the meta -analysis, RG and CG differed insignificantly in alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels (p > 0.05); but lower pruritus score, premature birth rate, incidence of intrauterine distress, and cesarean section rate were determined in RG (p < 0.05). The articles included in the meta -analysis were also free of publication bias, as indicated by the basic symmetry of the funnel plots. RFP + UDCA can effectively improve clinical symptoms and delivery outcomes in ICP patients, which is of high clinical application value.
