摘要
Perfusion is crucial in the neovascularization of breast tumors, facilitating their rapid growth and proliferation. Over the years, MRI specifically DCE-MRI has become an indispensable imaging modality for measuring perfusion. It is widely used in the screening, diagnosis, prognosis, and man-agement of breast cancer patients. DCE-MRI is now a standard component of clinical breast imag-ing protocols and clinical trials, mandated by both the ACR accreditation and the BI-RADS classifica-tion. Various analytical methods are available for processing DCE-MRI data with semi-quantitative analysis using 4 DCE phases being the most commonly employed technique. DCE-MRI has proven to be highly valuable in several aspects including differentiating benign from malignant le-sions, classifying molecular subtypes, and most importantly, offering a non-invasive way to assess treatment response.
