摘要
Optimization of the calendaring process is one of the main factors to improve the performance of lithium-ion batteries. The calendaring process aims to increase the energy density of the electrode and increase the electrical conductivity. The main objective of this research is to understand how, by changing the calendaring parameters, especially the thickness, the electrode properties can be adjusted and to what extent they determine the capacity of the Li(Ni-0.5 Mn0.4Co0.1)O-2 In this study, a cathode with active material Li(Ni-0.5 Mn0.4Co0.1)O-2 (NMC541) was used, and calendared with a thickness variation of 70-110 mu m. Calendaring results were tested using inductance, capacitance, and resistance (LCR) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test equipment to determine their conductivity and impedance. The results of the various tests showed that NMC541 with a thickness of 110 mu m was optimal. This was supported by good conductivity measurement results of 0.000319 S cm(-1), as well as the lowest resistance charge transfer (Rct) value of 25.165 Omega.
