摘要
This study is based on the data of assessment of arthroscopic microfracture for localized full-thickness cartilage defects of the knee in patients of Iraq. The study collected data from 100 patients (60 men and 40 women) in the period from 2017 to 2021 from the orthopedic department of Al-Anbar Hospital in Iraq. To assess the structural and anatomical disorders of the cartilage, as well as the functional state of the knee joint, a clinical, functional, and statistical method, the method of scales and questionnaires using KOOS (The Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score), Lysholm, and pain VAS were used. This study aimed to evaluate a clinical trend analysis of patients undergoing microfracture according to KOOS, Lysholm, Tenger, and pain VAS. The results showed a significant improvement in patients between the ages of 40 and 50 years, even after 5 years of surgery, and the clinical scores at 1 and 2 years were higher compared to the results before surgery. It was revealed that advancing age leads to the presence of arthritis and that over time, the survival rate increases with 2% of patients over 60 years of age.
