摘要
Public safety is a subject of national security and development, and timely risk assessment of it is beneficial in maintaining social stability and protecting people's livelihoods. Public safety involves many aspects such as food, environment, and health. However, traditional public safety detection methods are often plagued by cumbersome pre-treatment of samples, bulky size of instruments, and tedious detection time so that there are some defects in practical applications. As an emerging detection technology, nanopore technology receives significant interest from researchers. In this paper, we summarized the achievements of nanopore technology in the detection of public safety from three aspects, including food safety detection, environmental safety monitoring, and sanitary detection, which presented the advantages of nanopores in rapidness, sensitivity, and selectivity. Moreover, the pros and cons, challenges, and opportunities of nanopore technology were discussed to promote the sustainable development of nanopore technology in related applications.
