摘要
A low-noise amplifier (LNA) based on substrate integrated suspended line (SISL) platform for Ka-band satellite communication (SATCOM) is presented in this letter. The transition structure of the ridge waveguide-SISL is designed specifically to achieve ultra-low noise figure (NF) and good return loss simultaneously. According to the measured results, the proposed LNA has an ultra-low noise of 0.64-1 dB from 17.6 to 22 GHz. The maximum gain is 24.6 dB, with 3-dB bandwidth of 17.7-23.7 GHz. Taking the merits of the low loss, high-quality factor ( Q), and self-packaging of SISL technology, this LNA demonstrates the advantages of ultra-low noise, low cost, and compact size.
