Recently, dynamics of development of world petrochemical industry is increasing at a very high speed. Construction of huge, multi-tonnage complexes producing monomers such as ethylene and propylene, which are the basis of petrochemical industry, as well as the remodeling of outdated production facilities, has been rampant. Simultaneously, the gasoline fraction used as a raw material for the production of ethylene and propylene monomers is substituted by other alternative raw materials, and extensive work is being done for the purpose of achieving a high yield. As a continuation of such works, reconstruction works are being carried out in the oil and petrochemical industry in our Republic. At the same time, the demand for ethylene and propylene products is increasing day by day. Thus, SOCAR Polymer needs 120-130 thousand tons/year of propylene for polypropylene production, 20-30 thousand tons/year of propylene for isopropyl alcohol production, 120 thousand tons/year of ethylene for low-pressure polyethylene and also 120 thousand tons/year of ethylene for high-pressure polyethylene. "EP-300" and "High-pressure polyethylene" installations were built and put into operation in the 80s of the XX century. 1 mln. tons/year of low octane gasoline is intended to be used as raw material for pyrolysis process in "EP-300" installation. However, in the real situation, it seems impossible to provide this amount of gasoline, because the demand for fuel in our republic is increasing rapidly. For this reason, the Oil Refinery allows the use of C1-C2 (dry gas), propane propylene and butane-butylene fractions as a by-product of the "Catalytic Cracking" and "Gradual Coking" units as alternative raw materials. The possibility of obtaining high-quality ethylene and propylene in "EP-300" complex was shown
