The retraction has been agreed due to unattributed overlap between this article and the following article: 'Curcumin inhibits cell survival and migration by suppression of Notch-1 activity in prostate cancer cells' by Tao Kong, Yongxing Wang, Li Xiao and Limin Liao; African Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Vol.7(27), pp. 1911-1916, 2013, . The authors were not available for a final confirmation of the retraction.
