A low-cost wide-angle coverage rectennas for energy harvesting applications

摘要
We present a compact, effective, and broad-angle array of rectennas designed for harvesting energy and transmitting wireless power in the mid-band of 6G. Specifically, the device comprises a group of on-board Bruce-array antennas that operate at the same frequency (12 GHz) but have varying radiation angles. This configuration enables spatial multiplexing for efficient harvesting of radiative energy. The Bruce-array antennas are capable to receive RF signals with incidence angles spanning from -60 degrees to 60 degrees, offering a peak gain exceeding 7.89 dBi. Additionally, a suitable power management system is proposed for this arrayed rectenna system. The rectenna panel achieves a conversion efficiency of 60% when subjected to an input power of -2.2 dBm across a wide reception range.
