摘要
Although the diagnosis of an odontogenic or sinus infection is often presumed clinically, imaging plays a key role not only in confirming the diag-nosis but also alerting clinicians to the presence of drainable abscess or other potentially life -threatening complications such as intracranial spread of infection. The radiologist must be familiar with patient populations at risk, be able to recognize key imaging features, and understand the appropriate use of CT and/or MR imaging in each case.
