摘要
There is currently great concern in many countries about the level of Financial Education (FE) of their citizens. In Spain, since 2008, there has been a National FE Plan promoted by the Bank of Spain and the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), which is in its fourth phase. In this stage, as in the previous one, the importance of promoting the EF among university students, who will be the qualified professionals of the future, is highlighted. In this context, the aim of this study is to analyse the perceptions of first-year students of the different degrees of the University of Extremadura in the academic year 2021-22 in aspects such as spending, income, budget, savings, investment and quality of life. To this end, a survey has been carried out, the main results of which allow us to propose lines of action of a transversal nature for future academic years at the university itself, as well as in previous studies in Primary and Secondary Education. Finally, this research allows us to make a forecast for the Autonomous Community of Extremadura and to establish comparisons with other Spanish communities or neighbouring Portuguese regions.
