摘要
Teacher-student relationship (TSR) is a component of the interpersonal human relationships category, that can have positive and negative psycho-social effects on both sides. The aim of this study is to perform a systematic review of the literature in order to identify the most prevalent dimensions that characterize teacher-student relationships in Higher Education from the perspective of students and the instruments used to assess these dimensions. The systematic analysis targeted the following variables: the number of participants, age range, the type of the study, purpose of the study, the dimensions of the TSR and the instruments used to assess them. The analysis allowed the identification of four common dimensions of the TSR: teachers' knowledge regarding the subject taught and the way that they develop their activities in class, the interpersonal qualities of the teachers, the management abilities and guidance offered to students, and other personal aspects, such as enthusiasm and flexibility.
