GENEALOGY OF THE ORLYK'S FAMILY IN THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OF YA. TOKARZHEVSKYI-KARASHEVYCH

The purpose of the publication is to introduce genealogical-historical to a wide scientific circulation works, archival heritage of Ya. Tokarzhevskyi-Karashevych. The research methodology is based on van on the use of general scientific methods. Scientific novelty consists in the disclosure of knowledge the study of the works of Ya. Tokarzhevskyi-Karashevych in the development of the historiography of the history of Ukraine 17-18th centuries and outlining directions for further study of the legacy of this scientist. Conclusions. Ya. Tokarzhevskyi-Karashevych made a significant and still insufficiently studied contribution to development of studies of the history of the state and law of Ukraine, the history of international relations and genealogy. His archival funds deserve special attention, in which there may be nonpublished works of the scientist. Their significance is evidenced by published excerpts and mentions of the author.
