摘要
During the first decades of the 20th century, practices raised around the patriotic festivities in the National Territory of Rio Negro helped to set up spaces where positions were re-negotiated in the social and political framework. The goal of this paper is to warn how women of local elites adopted strategies through different channels of active participation, enabling experiences of appropriation in the public sphere, as well as demonstrating their skills to a progressive, although late, incorporation into effective citizenship.
