摘要：

Aldol condensation is adopted for the synthesis of sugar chalcone derivatives from f3-C-glycosidic ketones with various aromatic aldehydes under basic conditions with both conventional heating as well as microwave irradiation. Microwave assisted reaction gives excellent yields. Products obtained have been characterized using 1H and 13C NMR and elemental analysis. Sugar chalcone derivatives exhibit excellent antibacterial activity.
