摘要：

Hyperthyroidism is the most common endocrine disease in elderly cats. Diagnosis of feline hyperthyroidism itself is not difficult. However, attention should be payed to a variety of possible comorbidities. Those of cardiovascular and nephrogenic origin are the most clinical relevant and need to be adressed during the diagnostic process as well as in the treatment plan.
