A facile approach for selective detection of arsenite ions using plasmonic behaviour of silver nanoparticles

摘要
A specific reagent/aptamer-free easy redox strategy between silver(i) moieties present in a citrate-stabilized colloidal silver nanoparticle (NP) system and arsenite ions is described that enables plasmonic change of AgNPs for the selective quantification of arsenite ions in the range of 0 to 30 mu M with a low limit of quantification value of 50 nM (5.3 ppb). Redox chemistry assisted plasmonic change of citrate capped AgNP system in bicarbonate medium for the selective sensing of arsenite ions.
