COMBATING ORGANIZED CRIME FROM A FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVE. THE USE OF THE FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE REPORTAS AN INDISPENSABLE TOOL FOR INVESTIGATIONS

Over time, organized crime has been covering spaces not reached by the State, and this has made it an easier way for factions to enjoy more freedom from criminal activities. While the State relegated the reality of criminal organizations, criminals perfected criminal practices as well as improved ways of enjoying dirty money through money laundering. In this regard, COAF has played a crucial role in helping to combat this and other types of crime through the financial intelligence report, which presents valuable information about financial transactions. The object of study of this work revolves around the possibility of using the RIF regardless of judicial authorization, since opposing movements argue that by bringing bank information, its management falls within a reserve of jurisdiction.
