摘要
An efficient method called improved alternating projection algorithm (IAPA) is presented to synthesize shaped-beam patterns for conformal arrays with cross-polarizion (XP) levels control. This method uses pencil-beam excitation weighted superposition as the initial excitation for the alternating projection algorithm (APA). And it adds XP level (XPL) control to the APA. In conformal array synthesis, the proposed IAPA can control the copolarization (CoP) mainlobe shape, sidelobe level (SLL), and XPL of the pattern. An example of flat-top pattern synthesis for circular polarized-element cylinder array is provided to demonstrate the advantages of the proposed method.
