摘要
The use of contact lenses has become increasingly popular due to their convenience and visual correction capabilities. However, the environmental impacts associated with contact lens usage have raised concerns regarding sustainability. This mini review aims to explore the optics of contact lenses, their environmental effects, and the advancements made in developing eco-friendly alternatives. The review discusses the materials used in contact lenses, their optical properties, and the potential environmental consequences of improper disposal. Additionally, it highlights recent developments in eco-friendly contact lens materials, recycling programs, and biodegradable options. By examining the intersection of optics, environmental effects, and sustainability, this review provides valuable insights for individuals and professionals seeking clear vision while making environmentally conscious choices.
