The Structure of the Lithosphere of the West Okhotsk Region: Interpretation of Gravimetric Data

摘要
A three-dimensional density model allowed us to reveal the deep heterogeneities of the lithosphere of the West Okhotsk region and to characterize the geophysical features of main regional tectonic elements. Using the qualitative analysis of density sections, we identified the peculiarities of disjunctive tectonics at various depths. It is shown that diagonal and orthogonal faults are dominant in the crust and lithospheric mantle of the region, respectively. It is found that the metamorphic basement of the northeastern margin of the North Asian Craton is divided by active long-lived zones on variously oriented blocks. These zones are hosts to mantle-crustal igneous intrusions and endogenic mineralization.
