摘要
The emergence of internet-based electronic commerce or also known as e-commerce provides businesses with tremendous opportunities to grow their consumer base, penetrate new product markets and streamline their operation. Many of plans and activities to encourage the use of technology to improve the efficiency of asnaf entrepreneurs have been introduced and implemented by the Association of Asnaf Entrepreneur Community (PKUA) under Melaka Islamic Religious Council (MAIM). Despite such attempts, the rate of technology adoption is still poor. Therefore, it is necessary entrepreneur's understand the asnaf acceptance towards e- commerce. This study is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to identify the perception of asnaf entrepreneurs towards e-commerce in their business. Qualitative data collection techniques such as observation and interviews are utilized in this study. Six asnaf entrepreneur were interviewed. The results showed that asnaf entrepreneurs' acceptance in using e-commerce was positive in term of perceived ease to use and usefulness. Based on the research findings, suggestions are also given to further increase the use of e- commerce among asnaf entrepreneurs.
