摘要
The purpose of the article was to determine the relationship between competencies and pre-professional practices in the training of Basic Education teachers. The research is of a descriptive and correlational nature, to investigate the variables and determine the need to understand the state of teaching competencies, and how these competencies are presented in pre-professional practice; for which, we worked from a prospective design, with a quantitative approach, understanding the behavior of the variables from numerical data, which were measured through a survey with a Likert scale applied to a total of 120 students from a university. state of Ecuador who are studying the Basic Education career. The results show that the variables are significantly related, there being a correlation between teaching skills and their development during pre-professional practices; therefore, programs based on teaching competencies are required, which are developed and strengthened during preprofessional practices.
