Dy3+ → Eu3+ energy transfer induced tunable luminescence in disordered La3Ga5SiO14:Dy3+/Eu3+ phosphors

摘要
The Dy3+/Eu3+ activated La3Ga5SiO14 phosphors were synthesized using a sintering process for 8 h at 1300 degrees C and their performance was investigated in detail using various characterizations. The Dy3+ single activated La3Ga5SiO14 phosphor has the dominant emission band corresponding to the F-4(9/2) -> H-6(13/2) transition of Dy3+, and the Eu3+ single activated La3Ga5SiO14 phosphor has the dominant emission band corresponding to the D-5(0) -> F-7(2) transition of Eu3+. These indicate that activators substitute La3+ sites with the C-2 symmetry in the Dy3+/Eu3+ activated La3Ga5SiO14 phosphors. The Dy3+ -> Eu3+ energy transfer occurs in the Dy3+/Eu3+ coactivated La3Ga5SiO14 phosphors, which leads to the controllable luminescence in these phosphors.
