摘要
This paper focuses on the discussion of the general competences postulated in the National Common Curricular Base - the BNCC - and the close relationship between this list of competences and the area of language. Therefore, our object of study is the normative document, released to the public, in 2018. The research method is the analytical-comparative one since it proposes a comparison between the referred competences and the specificities of the language area. The results of the proposed analysis point to the close relationship with the discursive aspects as a determining factor of the referred document, confirming the initial hypothesis. Therefore, it is understood the extreme need to think about the Pedagogical Political Project of the schools of the different Brazilian municipalities, investing in continuing education, bringing to light the specific concepts of the area of textual linguistics for teachers of different areas of knowledge, in order to that theoretical-methodological paths can be proposed for the development of the proficiency of basic school students.
