摘要
Cloud computing and remote sensing are important to increase agricultural production and reducing input losses. Despite the growth in studies using cloud computing in agriculture with remote sensing data, an overview and growth in this research domain are unknown. A bibliometric analysis was conducted to provide a comprehensive and quantitative assessment of the existing literature in the area of cloud computing in agriculture using remote sensing data. A total of 331 articles from 1 January 2010 to 30 October 2022 were downloaded from the web of science (WOS) database for further analysis. The downloaded information included authors, title, year of publication, citations, keywords plus, journals and citations. The results indicated growth in studies by 42.14% and the mean total citations increased from 1 in 2010 to 14 in 2021. Remote sensing was the top-ranked journal with 19 articles and internet, big data and management are the major keywords obtained from publications in this research domain. The study broadens the body of knowledge in this field by offering theoretical contributions to current literature. This knowledge charts a future for future researchers in cloud computing for agriculture and this is vital to researchers to innovate new ways of analysing data for future enhancement of agricultural practices which is vital for sustainable agricultural development.
