摘要
A Continuing Education Course on the Use and Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Dentomaxillofacial Radiology is proposed by the Autonomous University of the Andes in response to the growing need to update and train dentomaxillofacial radiology professionals in Ecuador. This article employs both theoretical and empirical scientific methods to justify this proposal, exploring the applications of artificial intelligence, its advantages, challenges, and the importance of ongoing education. A methodological design is presented based on a systematic review of relevant topics found on the web, covering the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, its applications in radiology, and ethical considerations. The implementation of this course aims to enhance the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment by providing professionals with the necessary skills to fully harness the potential of artificial intelligence in their clinical practice.
