摘要
Preservation of an adequate future liver remnant is paramount when planning any major liver resection and is of particular concern in the setting of bilateral colorectal liver metastases. Procedures including portal vein embolization and hepatic venous deprivation for one-or two-stage hepatectomy, and associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy have been developed to enable curative-intent hepatectomy for colorectal liver metastases in patients with an initially insufficient future liver remnant.& COPY; 2023 Elsevier Inc.
