摘要：
The proposal for a Directive to create a specific type for gender-based violence crimes within the EU is a good reason for all of us to celebrate. The recognition of gender-based violence as a crime in all EU countries will improve victim protection and facilitate the mutual recognition of protection measures. One of the instruments that will benefit the most from the creation of the crime will be the European Protection Order. In this article we will study the measures that will have the most impact on Directive 2011/99/EU of the European Protection Order. However, creating the offence will not be enough. Due diligence measures will need to be taken by the States in order to provide a real practical impact to the proposal.
