Health Information Systems Research: Opportunities to Further Advance the Field

With the advance of technology proceeding at an astonishingly rapid pace, along with the progress in the fields of medicine and clinical medical practice, it is a challenge to stay current and address all of the challenges that arise at the nexus of these two fields. This editorial aims to increase opportunities for authors to publish health-related research to IS audiences and support the efforts of researchers who conduct studies crossing the IS and healthcare disciplines by providing insights into what has been published in CAIS in the past and what types of healthcare IS research would be of interest going forward.
