摘要
A study of various modes of transport in the development of tourism in the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan was carried out, based on the works of local and foreign scientists and statistical data of the State Statistical Committee. Exploring the importance of transport in the development of tourism, as one of the economic and geographical factors, its role in the development of the economy is revealed. The indicators of passenger transportation by road and passenger turnover in the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan for 2015-2021 were analyzed, and the dynamics of the decrease were shown. Based on statistical data, the place of economic regions in terms of the degree of roads among the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan has been identified. Considering the role of transport in the development of tourism in mountainous regions, the number of citizens arriving and leaving Azerbaijan in 2022 was analyzed by the use of transport modes. In the future, both for the territories liberated from occupation, and for the entire regions under study, ways are proposed to improve the role of transport not only in the development of tourism, but also in other sectors of the economy. The proposed conclusions can be used as economic goals and programs for the socioeconomic development of the country's regions.
