摘要
The chromones found in the dried roots of Saposhikovia divaricata include cimifugin, an es-sential component. The traditional Chinese medicine plant Saposhikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk, also known as Fang-Feng, is the source of the coumarin derivative cimifugin. The objective was to investigate the potential influence of two different concentrations of topical Cimifugin gel and in combination to clo-betasol on imiquimod-induced mouse model of psoriasis by dividing 48 mice into 6 groups (eight mice per each group). All groups received imiquimod for induction of psoriasis (except Group I) across the trial days. Group II (Induction group) given imiquimod cream for 7 days. The other groups III, IV,V,VI treat-ed with clobetasol propionate cream 0.05%, 3% cimifugin gel, 5% cimifugin gel and a combination of 3% cimifugin gel with 0.05% clobetasol cream respectively once daily for 7 days, this done after 7 days of dis-ease induction with imiquimod. The outcomes revealed that topical cimifugin had a important anti psori-atic action through diminishing the Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) score and improving histological changes that happened during Imiquimod application, Moreover, it restored the level of tissue inflamma-tory bio markers (TNF-alpha, IL-17 and IL-37) significantly when using Cimifugin in combination with clobe-tasol. Cimifugin has substantial anti psoriatic activity in imiquimod induced psoriasis by anti-inflammato-ry effect, anti-proliferative effect.
