摘要
This article aims to analyse the importance of the oral and public mode of reading for the cultural press of the Spanish Enlightenment. The first approach will be pragmatic, and will take into consideration the importance of collective reception in the historical reality of the press. The second approach will be meta-journalistic: how is this orality of reading represented in newspapers that deal with literature, arts and customs and, as such, question the functions of journalism while at the same time practising it? The third approach will be literary, and will focus on the impact of the close relationship between the press and orality on the editorial choices that are made.
