Widened and enhanced near-infrared luminescence of Y2-XScXGaSbO7:Cr3+phosphors

摘要
Near-infrared phosphor-converted light-emitting diode (NIR pc-LED) has renovated a research hotspot presently due to its miniaturization, high efficiency and nondestructive penetration. Optimizing NIR lu-minescence performance of the phosphors is beneficial to progress the development of NIR pc-LEDs applied in various fields. Herein, novel Y2-XScXGa1-ySbO7:yCr3+ powders were prepared triumphantly. Via replacing Y3+ by proper Sc3+ to adjust the crystal field strength of Cr3+, a nearly 2-fold enhancement, a remarkably redshift from 761 to 802 nm and a significantly widened full width at half-maximum (FWHM) to 142 from 104 nm of NIR luminescence in Y2-XScXGa0.95SbO7:0.05Cr3+ are realized upon the blue light irradiation. The resultant phosphors exhibit good thermal stability. Moreover, a wideband NIR pc-LED with satisfying NIR output power and photoelectric conversion efficiency was prepared by integrating the representative Y1.4Sc0.6Ga0.97SbO7:0.03Cr3+ with a commercial 450 chip. The application in nondestructive food analysis of the obtained NIR pc-LED was demonstrated. Besides, benefiting from the broadening of FWHM and the rapid attenuation of fluorescent lifetime (FL) of Cr3+ (4T2) in Y1.4Sc0.6Ga0.97SbO7:0.03Cr3+ with elevating temperature, dual-mode luminescent thermometry based on FWHM and FL was constructed. Highly re-lative sensitivities of 1.63 % K-1 @ 120 K (FWHM) and 0.66 % K-1 @ 303 K (FL) are achieved. These discoveries unveil the potential application prospects of Y2-XScXGaSbO7:Cr3+ in NIR pc-LEDs and optical thermometry.(c) 2023 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
