摘要
Camphor sulfonic acid (CSA) catalyzed diastereo selective synthesis of pyrano and furanoquinoline using ABB' type multi-component coupling of aryl amines with cyclic enol ether has been developed. Then in situ generated arylimine reacts with another molecule of electron rich olefines via 4+2 cycloaddition to give pyrano and furanoquinolines in good to excellent yield with high cis diastereoselectivity. Addition of water results in switching the diastereoselectivity towards trans.
