摘要
Fluoride phosphors were emerging samples in the field of WLEDs and display devices. In the present article, Dy3+/Eu3+ activated / co-activated KMg3Si3AlO10F2 luminescent phosphors were investigated. Dy3+/Eu3+ activated / co-activated KMg3Si3AlO10F2 phosphors were prepared by combustion route method using urea as a fuel. Phase identification and crystal structure determination of the present phosphor is done by using XRD analysis and Rietveld refinement. Bonding vibrations of the prepared phosphors were investigated using FTIR analysis. SEM investigation of the present phosphor gives an idea about morphological information of the prepared phosphors. Photoluminescence investigation of excitation and emission spectra revealed distinct characteristics for the different doped phosphors. For Eu3+ activated KMg3Si3AlO10F2 phosphor, efficient excitation occurred at 260 nm, 395 nm and 465 nm resulting in emission peaks at 595 nm and 614 nm. Similarly, Dy3+ activated KMg3Si3AlO10F2 phosphor exhibited efficient excitation 349 nm, 365 nm and 387 nm and the resulting emission displayed wavelength spectra at 482 nm and 576 nm. On co-doping of rare earths in the host lattice, strong blue and yellow emissions were observed together with the red emission. The CIE chromaticity coordinate along with measure color purity and color co-related temperature were also computed. Therefore, these results indicate the potential usability of KMg3Si3AlO10F2 prepared phosphor as red component useful in lighting and display technology.
