摘要
Environment sensing has become a major aspect for future wireless networks, with several promising applications such as logistics, surveillance, and emergence response. The recently developed orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) waveform which relies on delay Doppler domain for information transmission, can reveal the physical wireless propagation environments. In this paper, we consider the environment sensing problem solely based on OTFS communications. In particular, the delay and Doppler indices attracted from OTFS channel estimation can be converted to path range distance and relative speed, on which we develop an elliptical positioning algorithm to accurately determine the target location and the receiver velocity. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the delay Doppler communications-assisted sensing framework.
