摘要
The peeling-ballooning (P-B) mode has been thought to play an essential role in causing the type-I edge-localized modes (ELMs) in the H-mode plasmas, although firm experimental evidences of the P-B mode as a cause of Type-I ELMs have not been provided. In this letter, we examine the dynamical evolution of the P-B mode when the plasma parameters come across the linear stability boundary. It is noted that the P-B mode model has some limitations to explain all of the trigger of Type-I ELMs.
