摘要：
A systematic literature review and evaluation of 12 publications, including 10 randomized controlled trials and one clinical controlled trial, has led to a reassessment of the efficacy of implant surface decontamination in the surgical treatment of peri-implantitis. These results were used to update the S3 guideline on "Treatment of pen -implant infections on dental implants" (Registration number 083-023, V 2.0, status: 02.12.2022). This article presents adjuvant and alternative procedures for implant surface decontamination in the context of surgical therapy of peri-implantitis.
