摘要
The concept of game theory, although it first appeared nearly a century ago in 1928, has only seen a rise in the average number of publications in the last 12 years. The theory translates into a compilation of mathematical techniques used with the objetive of analyzing various phenomena of a decision-making nature, that is, the analysis of the strategic behavior of organizations, focusing mainly on the economic and sociological aspects. This study aimed to map the field of study on game theory through a bibliometric review. This research was carried out on 01/05/2020, in the Scopus database, where the results obtained came from the following advanced search: TITLE (game_theory). With the development of the present work, it was possible to identify that the publications and citations referring to the theme have increased a lot in the last 5 years, the Chinese authors are the ones that have the largest number of published articles, the areas of study that most publish revolve around engineering, mathematics and computer sciences. In addition, it was possible to identify the formation of four clusters of keywords on the theme.
