Les corps des tracasseries: circulation, corps et violence sur le corridor Douala-N'Djamena/Bangui

Roadblocks and the associated hassles along the Douala-N'Djamena/Bangui corridor have often been the subject of attention, placing more emphasis on their macro-economic impact on societies. However, this article focuses on a blind spot in this view of these road hassles. It examines their violent effects on the bodies of the individuals who in concrete terms ensure productive movement along the corridor, namely the drivers who operate there. This inscription of barriers and road hassles on the bodies of individuals, marked by a particular social allocation, thus expresses an order of power-carrying violence.
