Electronic cigarette use and cigarette smoking in vehicles among adults who use electronic cigarettes and cigarettes in the USA

E-cigarette use in vehicles is common among adults who use e-cigarettes, including when other adults and children are present. Future research is needed to examine the levels of toxicant exposure and health effects that may result from e-cigarette use in vehicles. Marketing campaigns and policies could be used to discourage any type of tobacco use in vehicles, especially when children are present,24 to prevent secondhand e-cigarette aerosol exposures and associated negative health effects. © Author(s) (or their employer(s)) 2023.
