The current status of using renewable energy towards energy efficiency in Vietnam

Green energy development, also known as renewable energy, is being considered as an inevitable solution and trend in current energy industry. When fossil fuel sources such as coal, oil and natural gas become increasingly depleted and causing environmental pollution, many countries in the world in general and industries in particular strive to restructure the usage of energy towards clean and sustainable way. The awareness and application of renewable energy is gradually gaining importance in the sustainable development of enterprises, particularly manufacturing ones due to great benefits of maximizing the usage of renewable energy resources as well as contributing to reduce impact of greenhouse effect and climate change on the entire society. However, the application and implementation of renewable energy in enterprises are still unclear due to many difficulties in terms of mechanism, finance and technical field. Therefore, the article concentrates on assessing the possibility and disadvantage of developing renewable energy in Vietnam.
