Artificial intelligence (AI) is not a novel concept in the United States. In fact, AI traces its beginnings to the 1950s. Alan Turing published a seminal paper in 1950 called Computing Machinery and Intelligence, posing the question, can machines really think similarly to humans (Turing, 1950)? This work prompted a national scholarly professor at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, began organizing 1956, inspired a complex academic research topic that continues to evolve today. Most nurses are aware of AI's actual and potential uses in clinical settings. However, with the recent rollout of the impressive large lanconcern over plagiarism in academic assignments remains a signifiopportunities for nurse educators.
