摘要
A convenient and effective TiCl4-catalyzed procedure for the direct deoxygenative reduction of amides to corresponding amines has been developed using safe and stable ammonia borane (AB) as the reductant. This reduction protocol allows for a wide range of structurally diverse amine products in moderate to excellent yields, various functional groups such as halogen, nitro, and hydroxy groups were well toler-ated. This protocol could be performed without using any noble metal catalyst, inert atmosphere, dry sol-vent, and water scavenger.CO 2023 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
