THE MEANING OF POLITICS AND THE CRITICISM OF HUMAN RIGHTS ACCORDING TO HANNAH ARENDT

The main objective of this article is to reflect on Human Rights from the perspective of the philosopher Hannah Arendt. We intend, therefore, to approach their conceptions about these rights and, at the same time, to highlight the "right to have rights", cited by the author. Its starting point is the context in which totalitarianism was present. Thus, we will highlight this unprecedented political system by highlighting the author's assertions that this system exacerbated the refugee problem, which unfortunately still exists today. In this way, we will approach stateless persons and modern refugees as beings who are prevented from participating in the human world because they have lost their citizenship and, consequently, their dignity. This fact is what made Arendt affirm the existence of a crisis of human rights and modern politics. That said, our theoretical foundation will be based on the works of the philosopher and her commentators who approach the subject.
