摘要
This article studies a simple population dynamics model for interaction between wild and sterile mosquitoes. The model has at most two positive equilibria. Local stability of the positive equilibria is analyzed with respect to the total number of offspring production and the natural death rate. Numerical studies show the bistability of the positive equilibrium and the extinction equilibrium, as there always exist solutions that converge to the extinction equilibrium. We also discuss the threshold release rate of the sterile population to achieve the extinction of wild mosquitoes and perform sensitivity analysis with respect to the release rate.(c) 2023 Elsevier Inc.
