摘要
Regular physical activity reduces mortality and has a positive effect on several diseases of women. During pregnancy, physical activity has an influence on weight gain, the reduction of back pain, and possibly reduces the risk of gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. With regard to dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain, physical activity has the ability to reduce pain intensity and can be considered an integral part of therapy. Women in menopause who are physically active have less vasomotor disorders. In old age, physical activity helps to prevent falls, slows muscle wasting, and improves depressive symptoms. In addition, weight training may help building up bone mass. Regular and long-term physical activity on a moderate to high level may lower the risk of breast cancer for postmenopausal women, as well as the risk of endometrial and colorectal cancer. Moreover, it lowers the cancer-specific mortality of breast cancer patients.
