Awe , Openness to All Reality: The Importance of the Scientist and Philosopher of Religion Blaise Pascal. The author explains which lasting importance the pope Francis awards to Blaise Pascal and his Pi-losophy of religion in the Apostolic Letter & DLANGBRAC;Sublimitas et miseria hominis & drangbrac;, published on the first centenery of Pascals birth on June 19th. In the following passages the foundations of this thinking are developped, specially the central status of the heart. In this way Pascals understanding of the christian faith and his relation to the human reason opens up.
